Taking a walk outside for is a great source of inspiration. This year, the Moses Lab took that walk at Ontario’s Matterhorn – Dundas Peak.

There was a very high waterfall, and the locals were a bit skeptical of visitors.

The temperatures might’ve been low, but the spirits were high while we had our discussions about science.

The next morning, we moved from the forested hills to a foggy lakefront, where we continued our conversations from the wildly imaginative to the deeply philosophical.
The gathering encouraged everyone to look beyond the haze of scientific intricacies and see our place in the expanse of science itself. As we brought this year’s lab retreat to a fulfilling close, the mist gradually lifted behind us to reveal the blue lake stretching under the blue sky.

Thanks to Bob for organizing the retreat and Haoning and Denise for help with fotos and the blog post!
